Current Rivalries
Tighe vs. Nemo
2002-Present
Nemo leads series, 4-2
Key Games
*2002: First round of Playoffs, Nemo upsets Tighe in the first round to eliminate him from the playoffs.
2003: Ed McCaffery Championship Game: Nemo defeats Tighe, 123-114, to capture his first league championship.
This came just two weeks after Tighe routed Nemo, 168-99, in the final week of the season.
2004: Rivalry Week- Week 14: Tighe finally gains revenge, defeating Nemo, 112-95, and adds another chapter
to this great rivalry. Nemo has to rely on outside help to make the playoffs with this loss. However, Tighe is
denied full satisfaction when Nemo manages to make the playoffs after others stumble.
This rivalry is the longest running in the league, as it began in the league's first season, 2002.
Wiseman vs. Thompson
2004-Present
Wiseman leads series, 1-0-1
2004: Rivalry Week- Week 14: Wiseman enters the week on a roll, having won two straight games to climb
out of last place and into the playoff picture. Thompson was on a much bigger roll. having won 4 straight and holding
the total points tie-breaker if the two teams ended up tied for the last playoff spot. Wiseman, the long shot entering
the week, needs to win by at least 48 points to move ahead of Thompson in the standings. In completing the most improbable
playoff run in league history, Wiseman wins by 54 points, 148-94, to vault ahead of Thompson and Bunker in the last week of
the season and secure his first playoff spot.
2005: Wiseman and Thompson make league history, playing to the first tie score ever. The 84-84 final
is especially dissapointing to Thompson as the usually reliable David Akers goes 1 for 3 on Monday Night Football to cost
him the chance at a win.

but gets 43 points from his remaining four players to secure a come-from behind win.
Previous Rivalries
Concannon vs. Giacoppo
2003-2004
Concannon leads series, 4-0
Key Games
2003: Rivalry Week- Week 14: Giacoppo enters the game needing a win to clinch a playoff spot, but is completely
annihilated by Concannon, 162-64. Giacoppo would have missed the playoffs but Bunker upset Avery, allowing Giacoppo
to back into the playoffs.
2004: Rivalry Week- Week 14: Concannon maintains his perfet record over Giacoppo with a solid 103-73 win.
Combined with Bunker's loss, it clinches him a spot in the playoffs for the third straight year.
Avery vs. Bunker
2003-2004
Series tied, 2-2
2003: Rivalry Week- Week 14: Avery enters the game needing a win against the lowly Bunker, who had won
the first game against Avery but had proceeded to go 2-10 for the rest of the year. Avery would clinch with a win and
a Giacoppo loss, and Giacoppo held up his end. However, Bunker upset Avery, 109-92, to eliminate his rival.
2004: Rivalry Week- Week 14: League-leading Avery pummels Bunker, 135-98. The roles have reversed, for
this year Bunker's loss during Rivalry Week keeps him out of the playoffs. Had Bunker managed to win, he would
have made the playoffs and could have possibly faced Avery again in the semifinals.
* Records from 2002 are not included in the Tighe-Nemo record, for they have been lost.
